The association of intermediate wholesalers at the biggest fish market in Japan and JETRO plan to draw up a report by August and start a project in autumn to jointly export fishery products on a trial basis.
The study group is aiming at exports to other parts of Asia.
JETRO will provide information about local business customs and systems to fish wholesalers.
The group is considering creating a system at the Tsukiji market to allow wholesalers to complete exports procedures at a single location.
